To Secretary - Acknowledges the foregoing and with refer to the 4th para of his letter points out that subsequently to the arrangement adopted in 1853 the appointment of an uncovenanted Assistant on 300 Rs. a worth was sanctioned manily on the ground that a covenanted Assist was leable to removal in promotion - and it would seem from the terms of his letter that the present proposition for the assist of a Junior Assistant to the Commissioner is made without adverting to the # sanctioned in 1854 requests that the proposal may be recondisered - Sacntions Lieut. Graham salary up to the date of his relieved of the Sub Division of Kornda.
