In contimation of his no. 245 of the 25th ult. retruns the enclosures of mily dept. lr. n. 966 of 28th sept. last with copy of a communication from major smith supdt. of keddahs expressive of his regret at the objectionable style which he assuned in his correspondence with the supdt. of cachar regarding the seizure of the sachye kookies and sea by his keddah people.
