With reference to mily. dep.t ltr no. 551 f the 15th July last, reports tht the promossory notes, amounting to rs. 6200 or Rs.663.5.4 were made over by the sub treasrure to teh Govt. agetn and teh proceds amounting to Rs.6279.14.4 only were remitted by the latter officer into the genl. treasory.
