In reply to your letter no 689 of the 26th Ultimo Iam directed to acquaint you, that Governemnt approve of the substitution of ramfor Beer On Board the ship Bride of the sea under the circumstance stated but with the provise that the difference in the value of the two articles inclusive of the value of the tomage which the grete bult of the beer would occupy shally be credit to goverment at the rate at which the agents charge for the space occupied by the Regimental stores and baggage.
