In reply to our letter No.1456, dated 7th instant, states that he has already addressed the Deb Rajah on the subject, and suggests that, instead of proposing to send an officer to arrange for the restoration of pillar No.29 at this inconvenient season, an officer may be deputed in the next cold weather to look up, in conjunction with an official deputed from Bhootan, all the boundary pillars, and restore any that are missing or have fallen into a state of decay.
