In reply to Nos. 1418 and 1879, dated the 6th and 30th April 1872, respectively, says that in the Governor General`s opinion steps should be taken as early as possible to demarcate and survey the boundary between British territory and Bhutan in its entire length, and conveys certain instructions as to the line of boundary to be marked out. Calls for certain further information in connection with the proposal to station a police post at Dewangiri.
