With reference to the Correspondence regarding the steps taken towards the occupation of the Booteah Territories West of the Teesta communicates the remarks and observations of the Govt. of India thereon and replies to the enquiries contained in para 2 of letter No. 142 dated 23rd April last- states that the Govt. General in Council will abstain from giving instructions as to be steps.
