With effect from January 31, 1927, Sir John Wood, K.C.I.E., K.C.V.O., C.S.I., a resident of Kashmir, has been granted leave in preparation for retirement. Lt. Col. J.L.R. Weir of the Political Department is appointed with effect from January 31, 1927, to serve as Resident of the Second Class and as Resident in Kashmir. Major R.G. Hinde of the Political Department has been appointed as the Resident in Kashmir's first assistant, effective as of January 31, 1927. With effect from February 19, 1927, Mr. I.S.
