Having effect from March 9, 1928, the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel D.M. Field, a resident of Mewar, to serve in the capacity of Political Agent for the Southern Rajputana States in addition to his other responsibilities. With effect from March 13, 1928, Lieut. Colonel C.H. Gabrial, C.V.O., was appointed Commissioner of Ajmer-Merwara.
