With effect from May 3, 1928, Major R.L. Vance, I.M.S. was appointed to serve as an agency surgeon and posted as Western India States Agency's chief medical officer and residency surgeon in Rajkot. With effect from April 18 to May 2, 1928, Mr. J.F. Henriges, an assistant surgeon in Rajkot, was officially appointed CMD of the Western Indian States Agency and residency surgeon in Rajkot. He was also given a special salary of Rs. 500 per month for the remainder of the term.
