From March 1 to April 13, 1929, Mr. A.C. Lothian of the Political Department was assigned to a special assignment in Rajputana. formally designating Mr. A.C. Lothian, an officer on special duty in Rajputana, to the position of political agent for the Eastern Rajputana States in addition to his current responsibilities, effective March 17, 1929. Mr. A.C. Lothian was appointed as a resident of Jaipur with effect from April 14, 1929, and it was decided that in addition to his other responsibilities, he would continue to serve as the political agent for the Eastern Rajputana States. He would also be paid Rs. 300 per month while he holds the collateral charge.
