Rejection of a proposal to increase the rate of interest allowed on General Provident fund deposits. Decision that with drawals from the General Provident fund should not be allowed for the purpose of investment in the Indian War loan grant to subscriber of that fund of the concession of altering the rate of subscription and of taking advances on proceeding on leave to enable then to continue their loan payments. Extension of these concessions to members of the Departmental Provident fund enumerated in rule 3 © of the General Provident fund rules and to those of the special provident funds on bonus terms.
