Question regarding admissibility of S.C. to P.F. to Shri Mehar Singh, S/o Ram Singh, Ex. N.W. Railway employees and also settlement of dues of Shri Atma Singh and Shri Rewaria- Western Railway advised that (1) the liability to make payment of settlement dues the case of Shri Mehar Singh was of the Govt. of Pakistan as the option record is not available and he retired from N.W. Railway on 31.8.47 i.e. after partition. (2) as Shir Atama Singh opted for India, his resignation from service after partition on N.W.(P) Rly. should not influence the question of accepting liability by Western Rly. for payment of settlement dues, and (3) the liability to make payment of settlement dues in the case of Shri Rewaria was of the Govt. of India as the ex. employee resigned on 31.7.47 i.e. before partition
