Question regarding reciprocal arrangements for medical attendance on the railway staff of the one country working on duty upto the interchange points in the other country. Instructions issued to Indian border railways etc that on reciprocal basis facilities for medical attendance should be allowed by the Indian Railways concerned to the servants of the Pakistan railways on duty in India upto the interchange points, on the same scale and conditions as admissible to the Indian Railways servants in similar circumstance and to the extent available in railway hospitals or dispensaries are not available, the travelling doctors should go, when called upon, to attend the sick railway servants of Pakistan Railways on duty in India. In case the disease is such as requires treatment in hospital the patient should be removed to the nearest railway hospital in India and given all facilities as admissibly may be provided, irrespective of the fact the employees is entitled to free diet or not for the duration he is under treatment in the hospital as indoor patient on the same scale as admissible to Railway servants in India and to the extent available in the railway hospitals without marking any adjustment in this respect against the railway of the other country even if the cost of diet provided is recoverable from the employee under the rules
