Rules and Regulation: Instructions to the Railway Administrations regarding the procedure to the adopted in reverting the employees who are officiating in higher grades for a long period and where the posts have not been made permanent. Indian Railways were addressed in Board's letter dated 25-8-56 that Board's intention is to protect from reversion of railway servants who would otherwise have been protected if posts had not continued as temporary for prolonged period. Board decided that 12 months of total officiating service should related to 12 month continuous officiating service in a post itself itself being temporary an employee would have continued to work subject to the condition laid down in Board's D.O. dated 2I-5-56 to General Managers, Indian railways
