Instructions issued to the Govts. of certain Part A, Part B, and Part C States regarding the division of records as a result of reorganisation of States. 2. Suggestion that records relating to the period before the year 1919 inclusive should not be divided or transferred as a result of reorganisation. 3. Decision that all pre-1919 and all post-records relating to Union subjects in Part C States should continue to be deemed the property of the Govt. of India; that for facility of reference and administration, these records should be kept where they are; and that the new State Govts. may take these records as on loan from the serve them properly and make them available for periodical inspection by the Director of Archives
