Demand for the Factories Act, 1948 being made applicable to all staff under Electrical Foreman (Colony) DLW it was decided that since the Air Conditioning Plant Section is located in the administrative building and is engaged in operation/maintenance of Pumps and Compressors in the air conditioning Plant and maintenance plus transmission of electrical Power Supply in the administrative building cannot be treated as factory Hence the 18 employees employed in the Air Conditioning Plant of the EFO Colony are not governed by the Factories Act 1948
