Rules for recruitment through the Engineering Services Examination, 1965-(i) Age limits for EED and SED were brought in line with those of other Engg Services Viz. 20-25 years. (ii) Provn. reg. Liability to serve in Defence Services was included in the Rule. (iii) Provn. reg. age limits etc. was modified. Recruitment Rules for IRSE, EED SED and MET(P) Deptt. were also a mended in that regard. (iv) Decision that these Rules in future should be issued by the Min. of Railways Rules notified on 17.4.65. (v) Copy of Civilians in Defence Services (Field Service Liability) Rules, 1957 was also received from the UPSC
