Guidelines for hiring using the 1965 Engineering Services Examination-(i) The age restrictions for SED and EED were raised to 20-25 years, in accordance with other engineering services. (ii) The Rule mentioned being obligated to serve in the Defence Services. Provn. reg. age limits, etc., were changed (iii). In that context, the recruitment guidelines for the IRSE, EED SED, and MET(P) Dept. were also amended. (iv) The decision announced on 17.4.65 that the Ministry of Railways should issue these rules going forward. (v) The UPSC also provided a copy of the 1957 Civilians in Defence Services (Field Service Liability) Rules
