Reference from Ministry of Labour regarding any suggestions for additional items on the agenda for discussion at the meeting of the Central Advisory Board set up under Section 8 of the Minimum Wages Act, which is to be convened in the first week of April 1954. Ministry of Labour informed that this Ministry had no items to suggest. Resolution adopted by the Minimum Wages Advisory Committee on 8/9.4.54 re: removal of disparity in wages fixed for men and women for the same occupation. Copy of the resolution forwarded to Rly for guidance with the instruction that any revision made in the minimum wages made by State Govt. should be brought to the notice of the Rly Board for taking suitable action in respect of the rates of wages already notified
