Demand made by the A.I.R.F. for introduction of double crew system in N.F. Railway in goods train running between Alipurduar Jn. and New Gauhati. i. Railways asked a programme for improving the facilities available in the rest vans under the double crew system. ii. Information also called for from the Railways for a period of 3 months from September to December 1963 about the comparative total earnings of the staff working under single crew system and double crew system and matter examined. 2. In view of the difficulties in comparing the total emoluments of staff working on the single crew and double crew systems no further action was considered necessary
