Signal Engg. Deptt. of the superior revenue Deptt. of the Indian Railways recruitment (seventh amendment) Rules 1964 -decided that a new para as indicated below shall be added and the existing para 22 be renummered as para 23. Para 22: Liability to serve in the defence service: Any person appointed to the signal Engg. Deptt. of the superior revenue establishment of the Indian Railways on the results of the competitive examination held in 1964 onwards shall if so required, be liable to serve in the defence service or post connected with the Defence of India for a period of not less than four years including the period spent on training if any, provided that any person shall (a) not be required to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of appointment (b) shall not ordinarily be required to serve as aforesaid after attaining the age of forty years
