The Signal Engineering Department of the Superior Revenue Department of the Indian Railways recruiting (seventh amendment) Rules 1964 made the decision to create a new paragraph as shown below and renumber the current paragraph 22 as paragraph 23. Paragraph 22: Liability to Serve in the Defence Service: Any individual appointed to the Signal Engineering Department of the Indian Railways' Superior Revenue Establishment based on the results of the competitive examination held in 1964 and later may, if necessary, be required to serve in the Defence of India for a minimum of four years, including any training period; however, no individual shall (a) be obliged to serve as aforesaid
