Administrative set up on Railways. Decision: 1. The creation of 2 posts of SDGMS one each for EandSE Railways for a period upton 31.10.59. 2. The continuance of the ty. posts of Sr. DGMs on the W, S.N, and NE Railways upto. 31.10.59 further extended for a period of three years w.e.f. 1.11.59 on all the Indian Railways except NE and NF Railways. 3. The creation of seven Ty. JA posts of Dy. GMs (General) one for each zonal Railway for a further period upto 31.10.59 further extended for a period of three years w.e.f. 1.11.59 on all the Indian Railways except NE and NF. 4. The abolition of the posts of DGMs (Works) on the E, SE Railway. 5. The abolition of the JA posts of Dy. GM(Ameni) and DGM (Planning) on all Railways. 6. Distribution of duties between Sr. DGM and BGM (General) GMs permitted to make minor variation to suit their requirements but the broad distribution of work should for the present remain as already laid down by the Board
