Ministry of Labour and Employment- Special Enquiry regarding safety in the Public Sector Undertakings- Conclusions of the Report by Chief Adviser Factories- The Labour Ministry were informed that necessary instructions were issued to all Railways Advising them to study the Report carefully, to examine the causes of accidents in railway factories/workshops and to take effective steps to ensure that such accidents were reduced to the barest minimum. Further the Railways were advised to maintain all records of accidents in railway factories/workshops in accordance with the statutory provisions. A copy of the instructions issued to the Railways was forwarded to the Labour Ministry
