In reply to this Office letter No. 5359 dated the 10th ultimo, states that His Excellency the Governor General in Council thinks it necessary to entertain on Agent on the part of the Bhootan Government as an experimental measure, and leaves it to His Honor the Lieutenant-Governor to make arrangements with that Government through the Commissioner of Cooch Behar, and sanctions the necessary expenditure for the residency and the monthly allowances of the Agent and will.....
