General order by the most noble the Governer general of India in council that much incomvenience is experienced in the artillary regiment by the operation of the 23rd rule of section 23 page 224 of the code of pay and audit regulation of 1849 under which a full surgan of a regiment is entittle to his medical staff salary with whatever portion of the crops at H.Q.he may be doing duty under his charge the most noble the Governer general of India in council is pleased to diret that the words at H.Q.shall be amitted in the above quoted rule from the H.Q.of their regiment or battalion shall be entittled to their full stuff salary.
