With refrence to the C.in Chief having suggested the extension to the Bombay Presidency of the Bengal regulation which allows an advance of 6 months pay to officer proceeding on Furlough, requests, that that Govt. may be informed whether any precautions are taken in Bengal to secure the Govt, against the risk of loss from the non recovery of advances this made.
