approving of the arragements, reported in his letter no 964 D/25th Feby./52.With refrence to Mily Department letter no 421, of the 23rd instt, states that he has engaged the ship favorite, of 410 tons at the rate, of 8 Rupees and 1 anna pertion for the Conveyance of the ordnance bullock with their Drivers, intended for the Expedition to Rangoon, and that be purposes to send half hte number of Bullocks, with their driver, and their fodder on the Favorite, which will be ready to receive , them in about 5 days and the Vessel will take as much stores moulmein and she can property stow in her hold, the other mociety of bullocks and fodder, with their Driverm he purpose, to send on the stemer fire, queen, which it is expected will be back here in a day or two from Rangoon, river, and further states, that he caused a Communication to the above effect, to be made to sub Assistant, Commissary General.
