In reply to mioly dept. extt. no 805 of 24th ultimo intimates that Govt. confirm the sanction recorded by the Madras Govt. to a temporary increase as marginally noted within of Rs. 140 per month from 1st idem, to the office establishment of the supt. of famioly payments at that Presidency for the extra duties entailed upon that office by the great increase in the number of family certificates consequent upon the meployment of Troops in Burmah on the conditions specified.
