In reply to their letter no 5499 of the 30 th november 1847 estimates tht copy of letter no 89 of the 14th instant from the under secretary to Government of India in he foreign department addressed to the board has been receved in he Department relative to the Government General having decided that the timber agency in the sutlej shall be discontinued.
