With refrence to the 2nd Para of their letter no 402 of the 6th may 1851. submits, Copies of letter forwarding returns of the Public Buildings, at the several stations of the lower and N. W. Circles, of superintendences observe that, with the exception of certain Buildings, no accident s to the Buildings, numbering in all 729 in the ills have occurred atho, they unprovided, with lighting construction but the Board however consider it expedient that Estimate, should be framed for providing the Principal and most exposed, Buildings, int he Hills with lighting conductor, and their estimates, have accordingly been called,,for and will be submitted, in due course, with their reports, on the advisdability of incuring the expense, O.P to be returned.
