In contiantion of his letter no. 488 of 24th sept. last forwards copy despatch from the commandat of arty. stating that he is still of opnion that the system of regiment savings banks cannot be properly carried out in the regiment of arty. an opnion in which the officers in command of the sevral Brigadier & battalion of hte European branch of hat arm would seem to concur with exception to Lt. coll. Grant C B commanding 3rd Brigadier horse arty.
