In reply to your letter no 971 of the 1st Instant.Recommend that an advance of Cost Rupees may be granted in favor of Captain Bishop for the Construct of Depot Buildings at Darjeling and placed at the disposal of the officer payable by the supd. f Darjecling state that Govt. have alredy sanctioned advances amounting in the aggregate to Rupees 50,000 for Constucts the Comlesent Barracks that the last,on advances this account was granted in letter of 7th oct.1848. and that all the important Builidings are completed with execption fro the medical Subondwate, attached to the Depot, and trust soon to forward the Esteme fro the whiole of the Depot Buildings to be followed shortly by the Bill for their Constructions.
