Intimating in reply to letter no. 429 of 22nd Ult. that Major Smith of the 6th Lieut. Cavalry late Commanding 1st Irregular Cavalry is entitled to Rs. 120 per Month in execess of the Command allowance of the Regiment for the period that officer Commanding at Neemuch; and with regard to Lieut. Colonel Taite Commanding 3rd Irregular Cavalry that Officer Became entitled to draw Rs. 520 per Month on succeding to the Command at Jhelum, where there were 2 Corps of the line, in excess of Regiment Pay & allowances making over the command of his own Regiment to the nxt Senior Officer.
