With reference to Govt. letter the 2nd and 2nd ultimo states tht the alterations authorized in the former commr are to the interior of the Gram Gosowns at Saharanpore whereas estimate no 554, in which the ordes of Govt. have been solicied does not provide for any protion of that works, and is for giving a brick facing to the outisde of the walls of those godowns to protect them from injury during rains and in substitution of the usual grafs matting which was annually required and did not effectually answer the purpose.
