With reference to a letter of 17th ultimo. regarding the high charge for straw for H.Ms 40th Regiment States the letter from this Depty ofthe 15th March and its Enclosure to the subject were returned to the adjt Genl of the army on the 27th april to whom a copy of the letter of 17th may has been transmitted.
