Recommendation of the Conference of Police Officers (held at Simla on the 23rd-26th May 1932) that it should be definitely laid down that the Inspector General of Police shall be selected, as now, from the Imperial Police Service, and that the power of removal vested in the local Govt. under section 4 of Act of 1861 shall not be arbitrarily exercised.
