Decision that selected Lieutenant-Colonels on attaining the age of 55 should be treated as supernumerary and promotions made in their place with effect from the dates on which they attain that age and that when granted extensions to complete 30 years service for pension, promotions should be made from the date following that of the expiry of the extended period.
