In reply to his letter Nos. 1022 and 24--1112, dated 11th and 25th June 1873, respectively, forwards for submission to Government copy of a letter Nos. 2371, dated 27th ultimo, from the Officiating Judicial Commissioner, with its enclosures, regarding rate of interest to be awarded by courts of justice in cases where no rate has been agreed upon, and expresses the Chief Commissioner`s opinion on the subject.
