Duplicate letter from President and Council of Fort.Marlbro giving a detailed description of their distressed circumstances requesting a supply of money observing that the Board had with held form them a supply of opium but offered the same to the Dutch at a moderate price explaining the impossibility of procuring salt and was candle their intimating that they have desired Col.Murray to represent their situation to the Board and that the saltpertre received from the Vansittart was in a very bad state, enclosing a copy of Capt.Agnew sailing orders and intimating that they have been obliged to purchase 71 chests of opium granting bills for the same on the Board.
