Letter from the President and Council of Fort St. George,intimating that they have drawn a set of bills for current rupees 6,814 in favour of Capt. Thomas Mercer, late of Resolution, for the loss sustained by him from a portion of the rice on his ship being thrown overboard in a gale on her way to Madras in September last.
