To Lieut. Governor - In reply Government were not aware when Messars Diard & DuVoulle were permitted to accompanys his expedtion that the honble Companys would incure any expence on their Account - In liberal consideration however of their case the actual expences which those Gentlmen have already in curred on Account of Draftsmen Assistant & Materials is permitted - But with requard to his recommendation that they should receive the same Assistance as Dr. Horsfield, cannot be complied with.
