In reply to the two foregoing - Authorizes the expences of his Passage from Singapore to the Presidency to be dissated by Government - Mr. Bonham while Officiating as Resident will be permitted to draw an extra allowance of 500 Rs. per month Sanctions the appointment of Lt. Jackson to act as Assistant with an allowance of 300 Rs. per month his recommendation that Mr. Bonham be permanently appointed 1st. Assistant not complied with the situations of 1st. and 2nd. Assistants to be placed on the same footing with respect to allowances as the corresponding Offices at Malacca. The appointment of 1st. Assistant to be offered to Mr. Presgrave remarks.
