To Board - In reply to the two foregoing fixing the Allowances of the Quarantine Surgeon at Diamond Harbour at 700 Rupees per month to be charged entirely in the Civil Department. The Marine Board will provide the requisite accomodation of Boats for visiting Ships. A Pinnace not considered necessary, as the Guard & other Vessels prossess the means of affording the Surgeon the desired accomodation. Mr. Assistant Surgeon Chapman allowed to draw an Extra Allowance of 100 Rs. per mensem whilst performing the duties of Port Surgeon at Chittagong. Boats for visiting the Vessels in Quarantine will be supplied by the Officer of the Port.
