To Mr Surgeon Grant - In reply. States that with reference to the Courts Orders. It is not in the power of Government to grant him any compensation on account of his removal from the Editorship of the Government Gazette or for what he may have formerly suffered by the Sale of his share in the India Gazette. He is at liberty to Memorialize the Court. His application to continue in charge of the Government Gazette until December will depend on the Report of the Committee appointed to consider the future management of the Government advertizing and printing business.
