From Secretary - In reply to orders of 11th November last. Submits a Statement of the present expenditure of the Delhi College showing that the amount now paid for the Study of Arabic & Persian literature exceeds the interest of the sum assigned by Nawab Etmandoo Dowla. Refers to a letter from Mr. Secretary sterling dated 17th July 1829 and suggests that the present occasion be taken for regulating the application of the Interest on the Nawabs Donation with reference tothe terms of that letter. The Committee is of opinion that Hamid Ali should not be vested with any exclusive control in the College but be associated with the Local Committee.
