Extract Financial Department - Observes that the rules for the grant of leave of absence to uncovenanted officers & establishment employed in the Educational Department and for the grant of acting allowances to parties officiating for absentees which have been sanctioned by the Bombay Government do not differ materially from those recommeded to the Honble Court by this Government on the 28th July 1855 , but pending the Courts reply deems it right to withhold confermation of the Rules in question & at the same time points out that half salary should be granted only in cases in which arrangements can be made so as to allow of the allotment of that amount without inconvenience to the state.
