Under Secretary - In reply to letter dated the 14th Ultimo submits particulars relative to the Government experimental Coffee Plantation Chota Nagpur. The ultimate success of the plantation is doubtful for reasons stated . Its transfer to private enterprize is desirable . Has however authorized the experiment to be contained on its present scale , that time may be allowed before a final opinion is pronounced.
