To Secretary - With reference to Resolution of this Government regarding the Examination of Uncod. Officers transmitted with letter of the 18th January last forwards copy of Court of Directors no. 90 of 1856 dated 3rd September onthe Subject and requests he will report if the Honble Court suggestion for the adoption generally in all the Presdies of the Punjab Plan of Colling only one Examination in the course of the year for the examination of assistant can be adventageusly adopted. Requests also that a consise note may be prepared and furnished to this Government for the purpose indicated in the last para of the Does shewing the measures adopted for regulating the Selection of Candidates for the lower grade of the public Service.
